PINOT NOIR AT THE MEES WINE ESTATE
The high-quality grapes for our Pinot Noir red wines and rosé wines grow on heat-storing, deep terraced gravel and clay soils in KREUZNACHER ROSENBERG and on clay marl and shell limestone soils in KREUZNACHER PARADIES. Multiple yield reductions and good ventilation of the grape area through defoliation ensure healthy, ripe grapes in the harvest. When pressed directly, the destemmed berries deliver fruity rosés with an elegant acid structure and carefully mash-fermented strong red wines, which we put in oak barrels or Barriques for about 14 months.
